Luxury power catamaran buider CURVELLE appoints Owen
Curvelle Yacht Marketing has appointed Owen Marine Marketing to continue the marketing and brand positioning for their super-catamaran range of motor yachts. Currently in-build in Curvell's own shipyard in Tuzla, Turkey, is the 33.7 (110ft) 'Quaranta' which will launch at the end of 2012. Larger vessels are planned, the 39m (128ft) 'Cinquenta' and the 43m (141ft) 'Sessanta'.
Owen Marine Marketing was chosen for a refreshed marketing push because Owens have demonstrated that we are a full-on digital agency and can bring a new set of marketing and communication tools into play alongside traditional media channels.
OWEN STARTS MARKET REASEARCH ARM WITH MAJOR US CLIENT
As announced in the News section, Owens have expanded the team at Hall Place head office and one of the first creations from this enlarged team is Owen Market Research. This coincided with a new cusomer in the shape of Racor Village Marine Tec, part of the giant US Parker group. Our research task is a global assessment of the brand/product positioning relating to the VMT RO watermakers. Directly after the reseach results are in a branding and marketing excercise will start followed by the deliverables to reach out to the market place. The research results were presented to Racor at METS 2011.
2012 PROGRAMME STARTS FOR PROTEKSAN TURQUOISE
As 2012 got underway so did the marketing programme for shipyard client Proteksan Turquoise, a world class yacht builder in the world class city of Istanbul, Turkey. Already first quarter magazine advertising has been booked and Owens are now producing the individual yacht brochures starting with the last launch 'Talisman C'. For over an 18 month period a targetted advertising campaign in the yachting press has re-posioned the shipyard well into the worlds top 10 superyacht shipyards. Launched at last year's MYS the new SEO, CMS website produced in house by the Owen web division is doing a stirling job, loaded with videos and engageing material. A strong year of editorial activity, a great deal written by Owens marine PR division, along with many column inches of news stories, has dramatically raised the profile of the yard, driving many new enquiries to their door.
2010 was a good year for Owens
As 2010 closed a burst of new orders landed. CMN Yachts needed a fresh new newsletter for January and a 20 page charter brochure was completed for a new 53m superyacht 'Sequel P',from the prestigeous Turkish yard Proteksan Turquoise. Also new enquiries came in thick and fast with new accounts due to come on stream early in 2010 and 2011.
Earlier, 2009 was kind to us so with a lot of activity over in Cherbourg where Owens looked after the PR and webmail programme for the CMN Yachts new 60m launchings 'Slipstream' and 'Cloud 9'.Sunrise yachts have a new range of Espen Oino designed 47m models supported by a vigorous new advertising campaign and brochures lined up to support the Monaco Yacht Show. Smaller new accounts can be real fun!..in the shape of Darrell Bell and his ARIADNE YACHT MANAGEMENT. We have put together a really quirky new website, an electronic brochure (with page-flip)and other support stuff..watch out for a new name rising!. 2008 was very active for Owen Marine Marketing –including three new shipyard accounts and after a long ‘holiday’ period, Port Solent has just joined again as a ‘new’ client.
This section is just the marine part of the overall new client gains made by The Owen Agency group last year, which is across many non-marine vertical markets from the motor trade and dental services to the betting industry!
Port Solent
This new account gain was made in August 2008 for a roll-out beginning in January 2009. Port Solent is a marina (part of Premier Marinas) and a destination attraction for the greater Portsmouth area with shops, restaurants, cinema, health club and many other retail opportunities.
Owen’s task was to build footfall through re-branding and awareness to the ‘Boardwalk’ retail and restaurant facilities. Part of the marketing mix will be a new CMS ‘Port Solent’ website and a raft of ‘new media’ solutions, including ‘OwenWebmail’ which will raise the profile of this busy destination. Owens are very pleased to have this substantial piece of business back ‘under our belt’.
As the first 10 month period comes up, Owens have completed a raft of initiatives as outlined above and helped Port Solent beat the recession by increasing business at the site. Our rebranding work can be seen around the whole destination and on line.
CMN Yachts
This major French Shipyard has appointed Owen Marine Marketing to develop a targeted campaign to build awareness and enquiry levels for the 60m ‘Line 60’ range of luxury superyachts. A Press Relations Programme will commence soon and more details will be posted on the ‘Press RELATIONS’ section, visit the new SEO, CMS micro-website produced by Owen’s recently, http://www.cmnline60.com
Sunrise Yachts
A quick visit to www.sunriseyachts.com will fill you in on this very exciting account gain for Owen Marine Marketing. A powerful advertising programme is underway with an intense direct-mail and new media support programme – watch out for news releases.
NEW ADDITION!
Sunrise have now appointed Owen Marine Marketing to handle all of their new-media requirements. The existing website will be handed over to the web team on September 1 2008 so we can start building the reactive sections we will need to run our powerful Owenwebmail programme along with the blind landing pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising/direct mail/boat show publicity programmes. New powerful reactive programmes are also planned using the cross-media system called MXPie. Owens have just delivered a large hard-back new Sunrise sales brochure with a 'mini-me' pocket version for the Monaco and Ft Lauderdale boat shows....the show is well and truly on the road with hull no. one recently sold!.
Hythe Marine Park
A major account gain for Owen Marine Marketing, HMP is virtually a ‘new’ major shipyard facility in Southampton water. Already the US brand leader, Palmer Johnson is an early stakeholder and business is building for the slipway services. Owens are underway with a new CMS website and material to support the marketing to the superyacht industry.
