“Rapier 550. A fresh approach to fast, luxury cruising, the Broadblue Rapier 550 brings together high performance, high specification and radical future-proof design.
“We are really excited about working with Broadblue Catamarans, this highly regarded catamaran builder and being able to add a fresh marketing initiative.” says Owen founder, Roy Roberts, “With hybrid power configurations becoming the future for all sizes of yachts, offering hybrid options to their easily driven and efficient catamarans in the successful Broadblue range is a perfect match to add green credentials to their customers sailing experience, whether bay hopping or global cruising.”
Owen Marine and Superyacht marketing’s involvement producing technical content and marketing collateral for hybrid propulsion systems goes back over ten years. So this new opportunity puts us in a perfect position to help support Broadblue build a stronger position in their market space. Broadblue Catamarans has been quietly creating a loyal customer base since it was formed in 2002, with current ownership since 2007 building on a reputation of being stylish, efficient and with excellent sailing performance. The existing range sees two very popular cruising models leading this sector of the marketplace with two more ‘performance’ catamarans providing the real zest for sailors wanting fast, longer range passagemaking.
Broadblue Catamarans are based at Thornham Marina, Emsworth, the early home for some global brands. Mark Jarvis, co-owner of specialist broker Multihull World since 1998 and Broadblue Production Director, takes up the story, “it must be something about the small fishing village of Emsworth that nurtures small businesses to become global brands, Lewmar Marine and Sunsail, to mention just two. Both early customers of Owens who helped build their business successes. So I reckon it is time for the new team to get Broadblue Catamarans into this category!”
